'Community Artist', Hobart City Council Cultural Kite Project for
First Dawn Millenium celebrations 2000.

Huonville Primary School Aboriginal students design and paint a
banner.
For this project I worked with 26 different community groups to
design & paint 75 x 100 cm Flags on the Theme of "Culture
for Peace". These flags were attached to 4 huge box kites that
were flown on top of Mt. Wellington at the 'First Dawn' celebrations
for 2000 Millenium.
My training & years of experience as a Secondary School Art
Teacher has provided me with a well developed range of skills in
many mediums. These skills have given me the opportunity to take
part in a variety of wonderful and amazing visual and performing
arts projects.
These collective experiences help me to provide informative and
stimulating instruction in any teaching situation; classroom, tutorials,
workshops and residencies.
My commitment and involvement in community arts has also given me
valuable experience in organising and coordinating arts projects
and events within small communities.
